Everyone will learn to do everything to manage the station. I. Positions and their responsibilities A. General Body 1. submits programs with applications 2. is nominated for council position 3. has voting power B. Councilpersons- no voting power 1. Promotion- Promotes station and its programming, other groups who have a voice that needs to be heard 2. Clerical a. Takes and types up meeting minutes b. Makes phone calls c. Acts as liaison for: i. Student Life ii. SGA (non-programming related) iii. other clubs 3. Facilitation a. Runs meetings b. Organizes meetings c. Manages voting i. elections of new board members- counts and reports returns ii. programming referendums- counts and reports returns iii. Elections will be done via self- nominations, and a 50% +1 majority on returns 4. Unity a. Strongly encourages persons who identify as part of a marginalized group to become part of the Council, as well as General Body. b. Actively seeks programming from marginalized groups on campus, as well as programming which engages said marginalized groups. c. Assists the Program Councilperson in implementing diversity initiatives d. "Marginalized groups" is not limited to groups that operate as part of Unity House. 5. Program a. Reviews submissions b. creates programming referendum ballots c. constructs program schedule based on referendum returns i. schedule will start after first week of term, and continue for three weeks d. at the beginning of every semester, survey student population on the most popular TV hours 6. Tech a. Ensures program is running smoothly b. Interacts with software to add to programming. 7. Treasury- Creates and maintains budget II. Position dynamics- A. A Primary Board will be elected for next year. B. Starting next year, every 3 weeks of Conn Time, positions rotate 1. Treasury returns to General Body 2. General Body elects from within their ranks a Promotion person. 3. Promotion moves to Secretary 4. Secretary moves to Facilitation 5. Facilitator to Unity 6. Unity to Program 7. Programming to Tech 8. Tech to Treasurer C. If someone on the council should leave for whatever reason, the council will rotate to fill their spot, and the general body will elect the new promotions person.
